You Shouldn’t Be The Only One Putting In All The Effort

I know you want to believe in his love. You love him so much that you don’t see all of his flaws. You don’t see that he will never love you the way you love him. You don’t see that he doesn’t treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

You don’t see that this relationship is not a priority in his life and for you, it is the center of your world. You don’t see that you are actually alone in the relationship. And nothing will change that, no matter how hard you try.

Actually, you see it very clearly but you don’t want to accept it. You hope he’ll change and come to his senses. You hope that he’ll understand everything you are doing for him and that he’ll try harder around you.

He has probably made you believe that you are too demanding and that you ask too much of him. But that is all part of his manipulation. There is nothing wrong with asking him to match your efforts, as that is perfectly normal and it’s how things should be.
