Love takes courage: Meet the bravest woman in the world

By  |

If someone asked me do I think am I a brave woman, I’d reply: “Yes I do.” This person would probably be surprised by my quick and honest answer I’ve given to them almost without thinking. I won’t lie, I would also be surprised if someone asked me this unusual and extraordinary question to which I only recently discovered the answer to.

Courage is a virtue and everyone looks at it with different eyes, in a different way. Different people look differently at the same things and everyone thinks of different things at the mention of the word courage.

Some courage may seem larger than others: saving someone else’s life is almost a divine courage, though sometimes the same person cannot save herself. Risking your own life for the life of strangers? The bravest thing in the world.

But now, I will tell you a story in which there is no life-saving involved; nor any big headlines of immense courage in the newspapers, nor anything like it.

This is the story of the bravest woman in the world passing through life proudly and with her head up. It’s a woman who left her mark on everyone she had ever met. This is a story about you.

No funny eyebrows, please. Do you think you’re not brave? Do you think that you’re not special? You’re wrong.

You are unique and invaluable. You’re just not aware of it.

Remember everything women work for through their lives, everything women do for a living and tell me that I’m wrong. Tell me that women aren’t brave and courageous. Tell me I’m wrong and I’ll prove that I’m not.

I will prove it with a picture of your baby’s ultrasound, a priceless treasure that you bring (or have brought) into the world and that will make the world better and more beautiful. Some courage is fascinating and beautiful, unique and loving. The birth of a child, a new creature which you open your heart and home to, which is growing in you and will continue to grow with you, will create a special unbreakable love relationship with you, and it’ll never disappear.

BECAUSE IT IS  BRAVE TO BE A MOTHER.

I will prove this with all the time you have spent listening to your boyfriend or husband, the love of your life, talking about his day or his life plans. You listened attentively, although you weren’t intrigued at all.

BECAUSE IT IS BRAVE TO BE A GIRLFRIEND OR A WIFE.

I’ll remind you of all the gloomy days when you were a support to people who have lost their loved ones or were simply left behind: you were a shoulder to cry on, you were a hand in consolation, you were everything they needed in the very moment. You were maybe someone’s reason to carry on fighting.

BECAUSE IT IS BRAVE TO HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Does anybody know how to treat wounds and how to care for the sick better than you do? How to get up quietly in the night, just to be sure that others are having sweet dreams? You stay up all night and nobody even notices that the next day because you are strong. You don’t want to transfer your problems to somebody else, although you fix other’s problems all of the time.

BECAUSE IT IS BRAVE TO BE A NURSER.

Do you believe that all the people around you would function perfectly if you weren’t there to organize, remind and guide them through life? They wouldn’t. Because you make them functional. They are used to you being here as a guide when they are lost.

BECAUSE IT IS BRAVE TO BE A LEADER.

You have a deep passion for whatever you do and the same is with love. Therefore, you are always giving the whole you into it, but you are also soft and sensual and your man is one very lucky man.

BECAUSE IT IS BRAVE TO BE A LOVER.

Sometimes we need the courage just to get out of the bed in the morning and sometimes it takes courage to go to sleep.

You’re the bravest woman in the world, you just don’t know it because you never said it. Because it is never noticed. Because you are never thinking about it.

You’re a wife, a girlfriend, a mother, a nurse, a lover and a leader. Do you know a single man who would be capable of doing any of this and not consider it a heavy burton? And you are the only person who considers this a blessing and not a burton. Because you know to love endlessly and because you have a strength that’s greater than anything. . .

BECAUSE you’re the bravest woman in the world!
