You want me because I was good to you. You want me again so you can feed off of my love and the pain it caused me. You want me because nobody cared for you as much as I did. You want me because it hurt your ego to see that I walked away. Well, you know what? Good girls walk away too.

I want you back but I’m smart enough to know that’s a bad idea. You’d just hurt me again. I’d still be the one to give my all and I wouldn’t get anything in return. You won’t have changed, nothing would be different.

I know it’s okay to want you but I know it’s not okay to get back with you. I choose to have the path to my heart open for someone whose love won’t be toxic.
