5 Most Common Stereotypes On Women
When we talk about any attribute or ability, we cannot generalize things and consider that everyone is like that. Still, some stereotypes are believed by most people. Do blond girls entertain better than black, who are better drivers: women or men, and whether men are better chefs – and similar dilemmas which always cause different reactions in the women’s and men’s world.
These are the most common stereotypes about women:
- WOMEN ARE OBSESSED WITH THEIR LOOKS
Wrong! Women, as well as men, go through several stages in their lives when it comes to “obsession” with looks. In a teenage period, both women and men are more aware of how they look like and how they will fit into society when they have face acne and what hairstyle is currently in trend. Later, women become aware of their body so much that they are caring more for the body, but their appearance isn’t in the first place.
- WOMEN ARE MORE EMOTIONAL THAN MEN (THEY CRY MORE OFTEN)
This is most commonly associated with PMS days. We must admit that hormones are more pronounced in that period as well as during pregnancy, but generally, all people are emotional, and there are things that will make any HUMAN cry, not a matter of sex. Here it’s more about the society that characterizes man as a weak person if he publicly shows emotions. If a woman sees an emotional scene in the movie and starts crying, it’s quite logical. And if a man gets shaken in the same way, should he hide his tears?
- WOMEN ARE BETTER DRIVERS; MEN ARE BETTER COOKS.
Come on! This division gets on everybody’s nerve. Drivers’ abilities have nothing to do with the sex of a person, but with its resourcefulness as well as the very fact of driving. Of course, someone who drives each day will be a better driver than a person who drives once a month. I know many women who are driving since they got the right to a driver’s license and there is no parking space that cannot be parked. The same thing with cooking: it was enough for the world to introduce a few culinary shows in which the main word is led by a man, and this has come to this claim. Cooking is taught. So, the thing is, who wants to learn about it he will learn about it, nobody knew how to cook when they were five years old. So it doesn’t matter who you are.
- THINK ABOUT SETTLING DOWN MORE
In real relationships this thing is equal. When a man feels that he has the right woman next to him, he is very much thinking about family. In some ways, we could even say that men think more about it. They already want a better job, a flat, a car that will enable them to make life easier later.
- SPEND MONEY ON THINGS THEY DON’T NEED
Just because almost every newspaper and portal is filled with news that the dress worn by a famous personality is sold out, doesn’t mean that all that women do is shopping. Men do it also. When a woman buys ten pairs of shoes, it’s addictive, and when a man buys his tenths, it’s okay because he sometimes trains football with his friends.
